Naruto is one of the most famous shonen for his complex structure as well as for having redefined the Ninja archetype. For its fifteen years of existence, there is no doubt that the series has left its mark on the followers of Manga. 📚 Fans expected the series to end, but Masashi Kishimoto surprised us again with a new adaptation of Naruto.
For fans who dropped the series halfway through, Boruto tells the story of Naruto's son and his friends from the new generation of Konoha. Its fanbase is still active, and with the new Boruto animated series, the Naruto fandom is getting its money's worth. 💳 The first chapter instantly hooked readers, who were looking to find out what had happened in Konoha since WWII. Boruto is a gateway for young fans who discovered the saga halfway.
Not all fans know all the details of the Naruto series, however, and even longtime fans may have missed or misjudged a few details about the franchise. Considering that Naruto has over 700 chapters, it's hard to believe that fans haven't missed out on some of the intricacies of the Manga or Anime. 📺
15. KONOHA DOESN'T KNOW THAT NARUTO IS THE SON OF THE 4TH HOKAGE
Readers and fans of the manga are probably aware that during Chapter 367, Jiraiya 🐸 and Tsunade talked about Naruto's parents, whilethe manga never revealed Naruto's lineage in Konoha Village. The village of Konoha simply thought that the Fourth Hokage had sacrificed his life against Kurama, and sealed him inside Naruto, and therefore was unaware that Naruto was his son (however, this is sadly obvious). After all, Kushina married the Fourth Hokage and they were expecting a baby. However, when Kyubi 🦊 escaped,
Hiruzen went to great lengths to protect Naruto's identity from Minato's enemies. So, only a few people knew the secret. Even Naruto didn't know his father's identity until Kurama was about to break the seal. It was at this point that Minata revealed herself to her son and the world.
When Naruto became the Seventh Hokage, it was no longer a secret that he was Minato's son. Find out Who Naruto is.
14. NARUTO KILLED ANYONE
Many fans believe that Naruto has never killed anyone on the show. However, for a story that centers around Shinobi Wars, it's only natural that Naruto has killed Ninjas before. ⚰️ During the Kazekage rescue mission, Naruto encountered Yura who was already a pawn of the antagonist Pain. Naruto kills him with his Rasengan, and his corpse will be discovered later.
Before the arc, Yura was a trusted advisor to the Kazekage and recognized Gaara's selection as the next Kage. However, it was later revealed that he was a spy 🕵️♂️ under Sasori's command. Once Yura is awake by the Akatsuki, he slaughtered the guards in Suna village to allow the Akatsuki to pass through the gate. Yura is the only person Naruto killed, which is a bit surprising when you think of other shinobi, like Kakashi.
13. THE POWER OF THE SHARINGAN IS UNBEATABLE
The Sharingan carries a lethal ninjutsu arsenal. 📜 The Uchiha clan is known to use its dojutsu, the Sharingan, which many fear. Sharingan users like Sasuke can disrupt the senses and lead enemies into delusions.
It is also important to note that Sasuke is the reincarnation of Indra, which gives him additional power. The Sharingan 👁️ can even influence Kurama, which is another reason other clans are afraid of the Uchiha. The Sharingan is believed to be the ultimate hack and is considered impossible to fight, especially if its user is a genius.
However, experienced ninjas can easily counteract this power. The Genjutsu can be disrupted by the chakra of an opponent. For example, an opponent may inflict injury on himself 🩸 to be brought back to reality. Opponents who expect to be trapped in a Genjutsu can also create barriers to prevent it.
12. THE END OF NARUTO
Naruto ended in 2014 and people expected the ten-year series to end just like Bleach and Fairy Tail. After more than 700 chapters and 72 volumes, readers expect Kishimoto to put an end to it. The author proved us wrong and created a second series called Boruto, which follows the main protagonist's son and his adventures.
Like all major franchises, there are fears that Boruto may not live up to its predecessor, both in storytelling and fandom, but the new series holds up. Boruto adds an extra touch to his universe, and the offspring are much better than their parents. 💪
Sarada: Sakura and Sasuke's daughter is part of Boruto's team and happens to be in love with Boruto. Their love story is more low-key than Team 7's love triangle and doesn't hamper the actual plot. Boruto and Sarada are mature enough to put their feelings aside during their missions.
The new generation does not have to live a hellish life unlike their parents because of the Hokage's current efforts to create peace ✌️; however, because of this context, the story focuses on singular topics and larger threats that aim to threaten the peace.
11. THE PLOTS ARE RECYCLED
One of the most common misconceptions about Naruto is that the series' story arc has suffered a lot for its recycled themes. ♻️ Every story is the same: the villain tries to annihilate the world of Shinobi, we learn about the villain's past life, and Naruto tries to convince him not to take revenge. This also includes the side characters introduced in the new line. It's easy to assume that Kishimoto repeated the same theme over and over again because he ran out of ideas, but quite the opposite.
The main theme of Naruto is the Bonds of Friendship 👭 and while the series suffers from a repetitive tone, each of the stories is different, and none of the arcs are the same. For example, Zabuza was once a respected shinobi before he became a freelance assassin. Pain was an orphan who learned the Six Paths under Jiraiya and believed himself to be the next Sage of the Six Paths. After Yahiko's death, Pain decided to uphold world peace through violence.
Madara Uchiha accepted peace with Harashima, but it was not enough to tolerate his brother's death during the war. Each antagonist had different motivations, and their conflict with the heroes complicates the situation.
10. KISHIMOTO CAN NOT WRITE A ROMANCE
Kishimoto has openly admitted on several occasions his difficulty in acting out romantic scenes, and Naruto fans would attest that Kishimoto cannot write a love scene. However, the problem isn't that he's incompetent at romantic writing, but rather that he's too embarrassed to stage them. 📺💔
Kishimoto said that it is also difficult for him to draw them: “Although I wanted to write romances between the different characters in the Naruto saga, it seemed difficult to me. I am not good at writing novels. love because I feel embarrassed when I try to do it. "
The history of Tsunade and Dan, for example, had romantic moments, but the primary purpose was to learn more about Tsunade and his reluctance to become the next Hokage. The same goes for Naruto's parents, arguably one of the best pairs in the fandom. Kishimoto could have avoided writing their love story. However, he still drew them. 🎨
9. THE BATTLES ARE THE SAME
Kishimoto kept the series alive with new powers, 💥 and abilities like Dōjutsu like the Rinnegan. The Chunin Tournament arc, for example, laid the groundwork for new characters, and Kishimoto added their skills during the Fourth Shinobi War. Rock Lee unlocks the doors of Taijutsu, Gaara's impenetrable sand armor can block hits that Sasuke's Susanoo is incapable of, and even Sakura has mastered the Seal of Supreme Creation and Renewal.
However, we can see a link between the fights of the new generation and those of the 1st generation. As an example, the battle of Harashima Senju and Uchiha Madara resembles Sasuke's fight against Naruto in the last arc. ⚔️
Even Sasuke and Naruto's fights are different by default. Compared to the post-chunin exam and the final fight, they know their fighting techniques better and have learned new things from their encounters. Each battle brings something new.
8. PAIN IS THE LEADER OF AKATSUKI
Nagato aka Pain is first revealed as the leader of the Akatsuki clan, ☁️ but the real leader is Yahiko. Pain is actually the second leader. Like Nagato, Yahiko was an orphan who watched over a group of orphans whose parents had died in the Second Shinobi War.
Yahiko accepted Nagato for who he was, and together with Konan, 📰 they formed the Akatsuki, a secret group driven to spread peace. Jiraiya taught basic ninjutsu to the trio and they used their newfound abilities to create a world without war. Their exploits, however, caught the attention of Hanzo, who believed their ideals posed a threat to his power. With the ANBU forces of Konoha, Hanzo almost wiped out the Akatsuki, but Nagato and Konan survived.
Tobi will later reveal in the anime that he staged this just so he could use Nagato's influence for his ultimate plan. The Akatsuki had many rulers after Pain, and Tobi became the leader after Nagato's death. In Boruto, Shin Uchiha took on the lead role of Akatsuki.
7. BORUTO IS LIKE NARUTO
The sequel establishes an interesting dynamic between the parents and the child, where the child recovers some things from his parents. Apples never fall very far from the tree. 🍏 However, in Boruto's case, he has nothing to do with Naruto even though they both have a penchant for pranks.
On the one hand, Boruto would never say how he feels out loud, as Naruto openly expresses his feelings. While everyone expects Boruto to follow in his father's footsteps as the next Hokage, Boruto turns down the role and prefers to be a shinobi like Sasuke.
Kishimoto acknowledges their differences in the 🎤 Shonen Jump Festival interview, saying Boruto is more refined than his father: " Narutomove without thinking ... He's a rascal. Boruto is cunning. He's more mature overall than his dad. ”We see that over and over again. At first, Boruto doesn't like Naruto being the Hokage, a title that killed his grandfather and ruined their family. He goes out of his way to achieve quick wins, which Naruto never did as a child. Unlike his father's lonely childhood, Boruto has a family and can make friends with ease.
6. ROCK LEE CAN NOT USE NINJUTSU
One of the series' fan favorites Rock Lee is known for his Taijutsu, learned by Gai Sensei, who is a master of it. Because he's always adamant about using Ninjutsu, fans instantly believed that the reason he only uses Taijutsu is that he can't use Ninjutsu.
We learn that he failed to master Ninjutsu and Genjutsu at a young age. His friends tease him for it, but Lee refuses to back down and instead turns to Taijutsu. 🥊 Although he devoted his time to mastering Taijutsu, he was never completely devoid of chakra. He can use ninjutsu but in a different form. Rock Lee can for example use his chakra to walk on water 🌊 and different surfaces. In the anime, it is revealed that he can use his chakra, and even dispel Genjutsu.
5. BORUTO IS WRITTEN BY KISHIMOTO
Kishimoto isn't the main creator of the Boruto series, but he's still giving the new manga artist some advice. Writer Ukyō Kodachi and illustrator Mikio Ikemoto are responsible for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, which were respectively involved in the original manga. Ukyo Kodachi wrote Gaara Hiden, Gaara's light novel, and worked on Boruto: Naruto the Movie with Kishimoto. Mikio Ikemoto has been Kishimoto's assistant since the first chapters of the manga. 📚
After 15 years of hard work, Kishimoto deserves at least a sabbatical for creating one of the most popular manga of the 21st century. He finds it surreal that he is now the reader of his work and no longer the creator. Kishimotopassed the torch to his closest colleagues who he knew would be able to take on the task. 💯
4. THE RINNEGAN MUST NEED THE CHAKRAS OF ASURA AND INDRA
Technically, there are different ways to get Rinnegan. 👁️ For example, it can be stolen from a former user. we noticed in the following passage: "when Madara implanted his eyes in Pain without Pain noticing." It is also possible to obtain Rinnegan through the offspring of it. ie via the chakra of Asura and Indra.
Uchiha Madara, the reincarnated host of Indra, merged his DNA 🧬 with Harashima Senju, the descendant of Asura, to create a new pair of Rinnegan. With Kabuto's help, they were able to create a pair of Rinnegan, but these remained inactive. Before Madara's death, he gave his eyes to Pain, a descendant of Harashima.
3. THE NINE-TAILED FOX IS THE STRONGEST
It is a long-held belief that the Nine-Tailed Beast is the strongest tailed demon, 🦊 as their accounts specify their degree of strength. However, there is one demon that is more powerful than Kurama - and it turns out to be the 10-tailed demon, Jûbi. The strength of each beast is measured by their tails, so Kyubi would have half the strength of Jubi.
The eight-tailed beast would therefore have a quarter of Jûbi's force, and this trend continues downwards. Although he has half the strength of Jûbi, he is no less formidable.
Hagoromo Otsukisplit their chakras ➗ this way after defeating Jûbi and Kaguya. Otsuki intended to make them protectors to prevent another use of the Tsukuyomi Infinite spell. Due to their powers, humans began to seal them and use demons in war.
2. SAKURA IS USELESS
Sakura Haruno 🌺 has a bad reputation for several reasons. For example, she fell in love with Sasuke (who tried to kill her several times) and she often sat on the sidelines while other shinobi, who has less screen time, contributed to the story. . While these flaws are obvious, she rejects her character, which, ironically, is anything but unnecessary.
When Sasuke left Team 7, Sakura realized that she wasn't a true shinobi like Naruto and Sasuke. After this realization, Sakura spent three years under Tsunade's tutelage studying medical ninjutsu to improve her ninja skills. She improves and eventually reaches Tsunade level after a few years of training, which says a lot considering his young age. Offscreen, she healed countless shinobi in the war effort and thus became useful. 💊
1. NARUTO IS TOO POWERFUL
Another misconception is that Naruto is too powerful and can take down enemies with a single hit. 👊 Many manga and anime series fall into the trap of giving too much power to their protagonist, which makes them unstoppable. Naruto seems to suffer the same fate. Even if it is a bit of the case, the biggest part of the different bows is about controlling your power and never being tempted to break the seal of the Nine-Tails. Breaking the seal of the fox would give him immeasurable power, but he would not be able to control his actions.
Naruto receives immense power, 💪 which is already within him. However, with each new arc, his primary focus is on controlling his inner demon. His emblematic technique, the Rasengan, also requires enormous chakra control. Overall, Naruto's power is innate, and each chapter focuses on him, discovering his potential.
