Naruto tells the story of a fascinating ninja world where ninjas can use various awesome techniques called Ninjutsu. 📜 These Ninjutsu techniques are so amazing that they look more like magic than Jutsu as you might expect. And among this ninja world, there is a particular type of Ninjutsu that is extremely powerful: Dojutsu, or the techniques of the eyes. 👁️ Of course, Naruto fans are already familiar with these special eye powers, but it's always worth taking a look at them again!
Dojutsu (瞳 術) means Eye Techniques, referring to the techniques and abilities that a particular eye possesses. 👁️🗨️ Dojutsu are unique abilities belonging to several clans and only their descendants benefit, with some exceptions! Usually, the user of Dojutsu gains enormous power and greater advantage than a classic ninja. Mainly because the user can use various very powerful unique abilities.
There are a lot of Dojutsu in the Naruto universe, but here we will only cover the most well-known eyes, especially the big three Dojutsu 👀 (三大 瞳 術): Byakugan, Sharingan, and Rinnegan.
Byakugan (白眼), or White Eye, is one of the three great dojutsu and, naturally, he possesses formidable power, although he is not as destructive as the other eyes. This eye is also called the " all-seeing white eye " because it allows the user to have almost 360-degree vision. So far, only the Hyuga and Otsutsuki clans own this Dojutsu, inherited directly from Kaguya Otsutsuki herself.
The eye is unique since it always appears as a white eye, without a line. It is only when activated that the pupil appears, 👁️ as well as the protruding veins near the eyes.
The user of Byakugan gains two abilities: 360-degree vision as well as the ability to observe the flow of ninja chakras. 💫 Their vision abilities give members of the Hyuga clan an advantage during combat as they can see everything around them at 360 °. This eye was only featured in the movie "The Last Naruto", originally owned by Hamura Otsutsuki, then inherited by his Moon descendants. 🌑
Tenseigan (転 生 眼), or the eye of reincarnation, is often recognized by its blue pupils and floral pattern. Frankly speaking, there isn't much to know about the Eye other than that it is a special Dojutsu belonging to Hamura Otsutsuki. Using the power of the eye, Hamura brought peace to his people and later his descendants regard his eyes as a sacred treasure. In the movie "Naruto The Last", we see Toneri Otsutsuki implanting the Byakugan of Hinata Hyuga and awakening the Tenseigan. When a member of the Ôtsutsuki clan implants the dojutsu, the combination of their chakras transforms the Byakugan into Tenseigan. 🔃 He planned to use this power to bring "salvation" to humanity on Earth. Unfortunately for him, Naruto and Hinata defeated him!

Sharingan (写 輪 眼), is a unique Dojutsu that only belongs to the Uchiha clan. It has a distinct red color with a black pupil and three comma-shaped marks called a tomoe. This eye is a heritage from Kaguya, then from his grandson Indra Otsutsuki.

Speaking of Genjutsu, there are two powerful techniques that we have only seen one use of Izanagi and Izanami.
Izanagi is a mad ability that allows users to distort reality for a short while. They can turn the illusion 💤 into reality and vice versa. The second genjutsu Izanami is capable of modifying visual perceptions. When these two genjutsu combine, they can trap an opponent in an endless loop. As Itachi explained, this technique puts the opponent in an eternal loop with no end. Once captured by the power, the target will have no choice but to face themselves and fulfill their destiny. ⏳ Otherwise, the illusion will continue for eternity. When this synergy is used, the user loses his 2 Sharingans, one Sharingan per technique!
This eye is the exact reason the Sharingan is more complicated than other Dojutsu. In short, the Mangekyo Sharingan is an improved version of the Sharingan. It can only be awakened when Sharingan users witness the loss of a loved one (another reason why the Uchiha clan is considered "cursed"). 💀
The reason it gets complicated is that each user of the Mangekyo Sharingan has a distinct visual appearance, although all share a similar black and red color, and the shape resembles a pinwheel. Rinnegan (輪 廻 眼), or Eye of Samsara, is the latest set of the three great dojutsu which is said to have been bestowed on mankind only during chaotic times. The legend designates it as the eye of God with the power to change the world. It has a distinct appearance with a purple color, as well as a small black pupil and 6 black circles around it. Each circle is said to refer to each of the six paths.
The eye is from the Rinne Sharingan of Kaguya and was made by his son Hagoromo Otsutsuki. With the power of the Rinnegan, Hagoromo changed the world forever and laid the foundation for the Shinobi world. He is called the Sage of the Six Paths and his Rinnegan has become part of his legend. To obtain Rinnegan, a person must have the Harogomo chakra in their possession or the combination of the chakra of their two sons - Indra and Asura. The first person who inherited the Rinnegan was none other than Madara - a descendant of Indra, who managed to imbue himself with the cells of Hashirama Senju - a descendant of Asura. 🧬
Sasuke is a special case because he awakened the Rinnegan by receiving half of Hagoromo's chakra. His Rinnegan also has a unique characteristic with 6 tomatoes on the 2 innermost circles of the eye.

In addition to the Six Paths abilities, there is an additional outer Path that allows the user to resurrect the dead (Resurrect completely, not just "halfway" like the Unclean World Reincarnation technique), transfer chakras and invoke Chakra Chains ... Rinne Sharingan (輪 廻 写 輪 眼), is a kekkei mora but also the ancestor of the Sharingan and the Byakugan. Kaguya Ōtsutsuki is the holder of the Rinne Sharingan and uses it as her third eye. It has a distinct red Sharingan-like appearance with 3 circles around the pupil. Each circle also has 3 tomoe, which represents 9 tomoe in total.
The eye is also called Tsuki no Me (月 の 眼), or the eye of the moon in Japanese. According to legend, those who own the Rinne Sharingan can mirror the moon and pave the way for the infinite dream. Madara proved this legend to be true by managing to obtain this eye by putting the whole world to sleep with the Infinite Tsukuyomi, except Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Sasuke thanks to his Susanoo.
In addition to performing the Infinite Tsukuyomi, Madara and Kaguya can both manipulate the divine tree to capture and absorb people's chakras. Another unique ability is the Amenominaka, used by Kaguya to "transport" ninjas to his dimensions, from the world of lava through a world of ice to end up in a world with enormous gravity.
